I'm an Artist Support award recipient!

I am so humbled and excited to announce that I received word in late October that my grant application was accepted and I am a recipient of the Artist Support Grant, thanks to the North Carolina Arts Council, a division of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, with funding from the National Endowment for the Arts and Durham Arts Council, local grants administrator.

Thanks to this award I will have more opportunities and space to work on a longform work - a memoir!

Thank you so much to the staff and grant panel at the Durham Arts Council. Your support is incredibly validating and feels like a cool drink of water and a group of friends gathered at the sidelines to cheer me along while I’m running this creative marathon.
