I wanted to shine a spotlight on a few writers in my community who are doing exciting things in the world:

Liddy Grantland, a member of my Monday Night Writers workshop, was featured in Duke Magazine’s winter issue and has another article forthcoming in Sojourners Magazine!
Blaise Kielar, a writing coaching client, was a finalist for the Alex Albright Creative Nonfiction Prize at the North Carolina Literary Review, and read his winning essay at Scuppernong Books in Greensboro on February 6th. I really enjoyed helping him shape this essay, and I'm so glad it's out in the world, as it was published in the Winter 2023 issue of the NC Literary Review.
Caroline Porter, a member of the Monday Night Writers, will be attending the University of Michigan Helen Zell MFA program in fiction in the fall! Her goal when joining the group was to have a community to cheer her on as she prepared her MFA applications. She did it!
Who knows how much my teaching and guidance have impacted this work, but I am pleased to be in community with these writers and their words.
